Volker Stevin Canada has been operating in Calgary, and the province of Alberta, for more than 39 years; it is one of the largest business partners and service providers to the City of Calgary, Province of Alberta and the Private Development Industry in construction, highway maintenance and infrastructure projects. Volker Stevin Contracting Ltd. (VSC) is made up of four divisions – 1) Shallow Utilities (Steel Pipeline, Concrete Duct-banks, HDPE Gas Lines, Underground Power and communication Lines), 2) Deep Utilities (Water and Sewer), 3) Roadworks (Grading, Paving, and Asphalt Plant), and 4) Special Projects (Multi Discipline Projects) as identified in the attached organizational chart. Each division is made up of a group of Project Managers, Estimators, and Senior Operational Personnel with extensive field experience in dealing with Health, Safety, Environment, and logistical issues required for delivering projects within scope of a varied array of Heavy Civil Infrastructure works.
As an Indemnified Contractor with the City of Calgary acting as Prime Contractor, The Shallow Utility Division has been installing ENMAX’s District Energy Steel Pipe on multiple projects in Calgary’s Down Town Core since 2008. The Shallow Utility Division has access to all of Volker Stevin’s resources.
